Yay! The time has finally come for me to stop tweeting cryptically and share some awesome news.
I’m working on a new book! It comes out from Potter Craft next year. And it’s a collaboration, too! I’m so excited to be working with Christina Lane of The Sometimes Crafter fame. (That’s one of her designs up above.)
Christina, as you might imagine, is working on a collection of beautiful quilting projects for the book. And my part is something really fun and interesting – a craft book element I haven’t seen anywhere else. I don’t want to spoil the surprise by giving away too much, but suffice to say that this will be one highly useful, thoughtful craft book.
…So, in future if things become a little quiet over here from time to time, you’ll know it’s because of book deadlines. Don’t worry, though – the podcast will stay on its regular schedule.

How exciting! Congratulations. Since I’m a serious quilter, I can’t wait to see the twist you’re adding to the book :)
Congratulations! I can’t wait to see what surprise element you’ll be adding to the book. It’s sure to be something interesting.
Wonderful, congratulations!
Oooh, tons of congrats, Diane! Mysterious and intriguing!
OK, now we really want to know what you’re doing! Are you planning to add curse words to all the instructions? I’ve always thought that would be fun. No. You’re probably not doing that. Stitching plastic canvas covers for the first 10,000 copies? Yes, that’s it.
Aw, how did you guess, Ellen?! PC covers it is. :-)
That’s so exciting, Diane! It sounds like my kind of book too! Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Congratulations! That’s awesome! I love that quilt design, above. Beautiful! I am so excited to see what your contribution is going to be :)
Aww, congratulations, girl!! That’s so great! And “a craft book element I haven’t seen anywhere else”. I’ve already spent too long trying to figure out what this could be – so intrigued!!
