Image-Only Interview: Kathryn Vercillo from Crochet Concupiscence

23 Jul 2012

OK, so WOW, I'm so happy that you all liked the Image Only Interview idea! I've had so many people offer to be interview subjects, I'm going to publish these each Monday morning for a while, and then move to a bi-weekly schedule.

So this week, we're meeting the lovely Kathryn Vercillo in images. Hope you enjoy! (Remember, you can mouse over the images for a little more information.)

What are you thinking about most in your creative life these days?

1. How crochet saves lives

All image in this post are by Kathryn Vercillo, used with permission.

What colors do you return to again and again in your work?

2. Happy blues and greys

What's the one craft supply you wouldn't live without?

3. Inspiration, support and yarn

How do you feel when you're making things?

4. Larger Than Life

What's the biggest gift crochet has to give to creative people?

5. Creativity can connect people

What is your favorite thing you've crocheted this year?

6. New crochet dress

If you had one creative wish for everyone, what would it be?

7. Never limit yourself

Any creative advice to others who are inspired but don't know where to start?

8. Start small and see what grows

Wow, interesting to see the answers by someone else, and not as easy as I thought to interpret (but the alt-tags are great!), and I totally got the last one and agree: start small and let your creativity and your creative projects grow. Great advice Kathryn!

Me too!

I love the exuberance of the larger than life photo. :)

Love, love, love! If you're ever in need of another interviewee, I'm game! :-) I'm intrigued with how crochet saved her life! Must find out more... :-)

Very cool!

Wonderful interview! It's a genius approach you've come up with, Sister-Diane.

Thank you, Anna! Glad you liked it!
