I’ve been all busy doing things in other places lately! Here are a few of them…
I had a blast making these Halloween Hand Puppets for Spoonflower. Their printable fabrics make it really fun and easy to create custom faces for your puppets – you could even give your child a series of circles to draw in, and then scan that and have it printed on the fabric.
I also had an opportunity to do a Daily Paper Prompt for Tammy at Daisy Yellow, which was really fun and boundary-stretching. This is an exercise in very casual, freeform origami.
…And finally, I did a guest post for Maven Circle called Why Changing Your Mind is Completely Okay. (Which is a subject upon which I feel more than qualified to opine!) I really loved everyone’s thoughtful comments. We are, apparently, a community of mind-changers.

Ooh, great puppets, Diane – love the mix of fabrics, and that’s kind of a spooky photo! Really, really pretty fleurs – I like your phrase ‘casual origami.’ ‘Cause I like my crafts casual.
Heh! So do I! Thanks so much, Michelle!
That freeform origami idea is really making me think. I’ll have to put that one in the memory bank to play with again later… ‘Cause there are no rules, man.
That flower scene is just pretty, btw.
WOW… your interview was wonderful, Diane! Having lately taken one of your online courses this summer, I find your example/story and wisdom so encouraging and inspiring. As I’m making some big changes in my creative business right now, the topic of failure has come up…the whole switching gears–again!—thing is definitely present right now. But I’m not seeing it as failure. Just that I’ve learned something on this particular part of the path as I soon take a new one. It’s scary, but exciting too! I’m tuning in to whispers right now. Keep moving forward, that’s my motto now! ;o) Thanks, Diane! Oh, and I love that expression “casual origami”!
Oh, I love that phrase, Tracy – “tuning in to whispers.” That’s exactly what it feels like at times, isn’t it! I know you’re evolving your business in an authentic direction, and the path will uncover itself with each step you take.
