Hello there! I'm Diane and I have two grand passions: making crafts and making media. That's what I write about here, and sometimes, I get all thoughtful about internet culture and creative small businesses. Thanks for stopping by! Would you like some tea?

A Class for Locals; a Worksheet for Online Folks

fabricdepot-mugrug2

First, if you’re a PDX local, I wanted you to know that I’ll be teaching English Paper Piecing at Fabric Depot next Saturday, March 16, 2-5pm. We’ll be quilted making mug rugs like this (although you’ll be able to vary the piecing of yours any way you like.)

All materials are included, and you can register by calling the store: (503) 252-9530. Come hang out and piece with me!

…And for you non-locals, I’m participating in Spoonflower‘s Market Yourself March, which is a monthlong blog series filled with tips and tricks.

Reach Out

My contribution is a handy worksheet to help you evaluate what, exactly, your marketing reach is right now. You can download it and fill it out, and end up with a realistic picture of where you’re starting from. That bit of clarity tends to light your way forward.

…And it should be said that no amount of reach is “too small.” If you reach even five people, and they love you and will share your stuff with others, you are marketing. Everyone has to start someplace. Go check it out!
