This is just a little portrait of what my Saturdays have looked like since last August: hand sewing and West Wing. (OMG, I love everyone on that show so mu-hu-hu-huch!!)
I spend so many hours each week at my keyboard; writing and editing, answering email questions, making videos, marketing, hosting classes, HTML coding. And I love all of it (okay, I love most of it).
These sewing days are also a compromise with my Type A, workaholic brain. Even though my living is craft-centric, I still hesitate to craft during “working hours.” Even if that crafting is directly work-related, like making samples for a class I’m teaching! I find myself trying to finish all the “real work” before I can get to the “craft work.”
And that’s really too bad, because then I do most of my weekday crafting when I’m wiped out!
So at least there’s Saturdays, when I’m rested and really get to enjoy my process.
This Saturday, I’m hoping to work some more on my quilt. But as we know, I’ll need someone else’s permission for that. :-)
Have a splendid weekend, y’all!
