“Thank you, no. I’m quite comfortable here.”
Remember, our August weekly themes start next week, if you want to join in. All you do is make a post on your blog, and then come back here and insert your link into the linky at the bottom of this post.
Giant, Continuous Log Cabin Quilt, on My Quilt Infatuation
I’m besotted with this idea. Kelly simply cut strips of fabric and one square, and then assembled them into this giant log cabin. The play of colors is really cool in this big spiral!
Bubble Painting, on The Chocolate Muffin Tree
I don’t know if I’ll be able to entice our nephew to do this with me when he visits next week, but I’m certainly going to try.
A Free Quilt Pattern for Nordika, from Art Gallery Fabrics and Jeni Baker
Jeni’s new fabric collection is so charming and homelike! I can’t wait to do some quilting with it. Art Gallery Fabrics has released a PDF for this pattern, called Fly Home. Really loving the white among all those prints.
T-Shirt Twist, on Stop Staring and Start Sewing
What a great way to dress up a plain tee! Jona cut a bit off the bottom, and then sewed some of that to the neckline as a ruffle. Then she cut a couple slits in the front and laced another strip of the hem through them to shape the front. Nice, right?
The Haphazard Quilt, on My Poppet
This is a quilt after my own heart! Cinti had a lot of scraps to use up, so she cut them to random widths, made log cabin blocks, and then cut and reassembled them. I love the craziness of this design, and her choice of quilting was perfect.
