Well said: I've often thought that - as a crafter I don't need someone's finished product because a lot of the time I'll make it myself. I'm not really their target market. I like reading and seeing the pictures but I have so rarely purchased a finished product.

OMG Diane! OMG!

Amazing! Awesome! I can not wait til the end of the week when i will be able to touch this little guy and see your genius first hand!

I love your recent pc creations - totally. And I think what I love most is that they are not made for the blog or for tutorials or for sale - they are simply the happy outcome of "Diane at play".

And boy do I have an idea for you! It should keep you busy for the rest of the year and into next! heeheehee

This is so helpful, especially since I am new to this whole blogging world as well as pinterest. I truely just want tohave fun with my blog at the same tiem I want to be respectful and give others the credit that I would hope to receive if someone reposted or pinned something of mine. I am still learning all of this, I have probobly made some mistakes, but everyday I learn a little more. As pinterest is around longer and we make our concerns known perhaps some changes will be made that keep original sources intact when photos are repinned. Until then I will do my best to find original sources! Thanks for the post...this was so, so helpful!

I was an intense macramer. I have made numerous items, and I had the same book that you refernce above - need to find it - anyway I made the curtain, the utenisel holder, the toilet paper halder, (I am lauging hard now), the hanging tables (2 one for each side of my couch) room dividers and more plant hangers than I care to tell you about. The funny thing is I ran across this site because I was looking for a source to buy jute, thought I would try my hand at it again....

Aw, you two are so nice! Honestly, at the moment I don't have any plans to make patterns from these PC things - I really need a creative outlet at the moment that's purely for me. Sorry! But if either of you want to email me (craftypod at deepideas dot com), I'd be more than happy to share how I approached the project.

Sister Diane :) Wonderful information. Loved this post. As for your questions... I'm new to blogging, as a reader and blogger. As a reader, I use Google Reader to follow the blogs I'm interested in. Sadly, like you say, I don't have time to read them all, but I save them up and read when I can. I will definitely follow your advice to reply to at least one each day. I try, but then flake out :) As a blogger, I blog with two fellow writers. Our blog, See Jane Publish, is less than a year old, and we're learning as we go. I think we're happy with our progress so far, but we can always do better. Thanks so much for giving these tips!

Awesome! Please, please, please make a tutorial or ebook and count me in on buying it! My kids are Minecraft fanatics and would love these! I can't wait to see the Tiki Gods that you are working on. For all of us who love plastic canvas, we need to make it popular again. Keep the cool ideas and patterns coming!
